Kinam Agarwood, known in Korean as Ginamhyang (기남향), traditionally refers to an extraordinary fragrant wood from the southern regions. It is found only in a very small portion of agarwood trees, making it exceptionally rare.

Compared with ordinary agarwood, Kinam is known for a fragrance that is deeper, richer, and more powerful, yet remarkably smooth and refined. Its aroma is often described as difficult to express in words because of its unusual depth and complexity.

Traditionally, Kinam is believed to develop under very specific natural conditions, particularly in agarwood trees growing in rocky or gravel-rich environments. Through the interaction of the tree with naturally occurring microorganisms and its surrounding environment, highly aromatic resin gradually develops within the wood.

Because only a very limited amount of this rare resin-rich material can be obtained, Kinam is considered one of the most precious expressions of agarwood and is produced only in small quantities.
