Inspired by a tradition dating back to the Goryeo Dynasty, fragrance sachets, known in Korean as hyangnang (향낭), were historically used in royal palaces, women’s quarters, private chambers, and traditional Korean homes.

For centuries, aromatic herbs and woods were treasured not only for their fragrance, but also for their traditional use in protecting clothing and personal belongings. The fragrance blend used by Chwiunhyangdang was inspired by historical Goryeo-era sachets that are said to have retained their aroma for centuries. Drawing from this tradition, the blend has been thoughtfully adapted for modern everyday living.
