Fragrance sachets, known in Korean as hyangnang (향낭), have been used in Korea since the Goryeo Dynasty. They were traditionally enjoyed in royal palaces, women’s quarters, private rooms, and homes as both fragrant accessories and meaningful personal items.

Historically, aromatic herbs were valued not only for their pleasant scent, but also for their traditional use in protecting clothing and personal belongings. Fragrance sachets were sometimes carried on the body, worn as decorative accessories, or kept nearby as symbolic charms believed to encourage protection and positive energy.

The fragrance sachets of Chwiunhyangdang were inspired by surviving Goryeo-era sachets said to have retained their fragrance for centuries. Drawing from this tradition, the blend has been adapted for modern everyday use.

Each sachet contains a carefully selected blend of approximately 10 traditional aromatic botanicals, including herbs and fragrant woods such as:

Patchouli · Sandalwood · Clove · Cyperus and other traditional aromatic ingredients

Together, they create a soft, warm, and long-lasting traditional fragrance.
